Support Elderly Refugees in Mahama Camp
Mahama Refugee Camp,
Prison Fellowship Rwanda (PFR), in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Ministry in Charge of Emergency Management (MINEMA), and in a good collaboration with BAHO Global Mission, has provided mattresses and bed sheets to 12 elderly refugees residing in Mahama Refugee Camp.
The initiative was undertaken as part of ongoing efforts to improve the welfare and living conditions of vulnerable refugee populations, particularly elderly persons who often face significant challenges in accessing essential household items.
The donated mattresses and bed sheets will help improve sleeping conditions, promote physical comfort, and enhance the dignity and well-being of the beneficiaries.
Speaking on the importance of the support, PFR reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for vulnerable populations and working closely with humanitarian partners to address critical needs within refugee communities.
This intervention demonstrates the power of partnership and collaboration in improving the quality of life for displaced persons and ensuring that no one is left behind.
Prison Fellowship Rwanda expresses its sincere appreciation to UNHCR, MINEMA, and BAHO Global Mission for their continued support and dedication to improving the lives of refugees and host communities across Rwanda.
Through joint efforts, meaningful progress continues to be made in strengthening protection, inclusion, and human dignity for vulnerable community members.
